Redeemer Church began out of a desire to see an intentionally God-centered, theologically-grounded, missions-minded Southern Baptist church planted in the Fort Worth area. From November, 2004 to April, 2005 a small core group of interested people began meeting on Sunday evenings in order to walk through the theological foundations of a new church plant. Redeemer Church was born on the first Sunday of May, 2005 when this group met on a Sunday morning at the Marty Leonard Community Chapel for worship and the Lord’s Supper, and agreed to covenant with one another in church membership.

This group of charter members continued to meet weekly at that location until February, 2006 when the church moved to the Texas Girl's Choir building on Camp Bowie Boulevard to accommodate their growing numbers. By November of that same year they were able to purchase our current church campus in West Fort Worth.

From our beginnings to the present, the Lord has brought us through many transitions and some challenges. We have welcomed many into our fellowship and blessed many as they have moved away. We have rejoiced together in triumphs and grieved together in trials. Through all of this, the Lord has preserved His mission through us and promoted the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. By His grace we are family.

Our purpose is straightforward: We exist to equip God’s people to delight in His glory and declare that glory to our neighbors and the nations!
