Local Outreach

It is our desire to encourage the members of Redeemer Church to be active in sharing the Gospel of Christ with those with whom they come in contact. We also want to encourage them to be involved in ministering in their community. A large part of this is the work of individual members where they live, showing the grace of God in their lives to their neighbors, while also seeking to be intentional about sharing the Gospel with those neighbors.

We desire to have a diverse body - one that looks like the whole of Christ's church. We also desire to support more organized efforts such as pregnancy help centers, projects for those in need, and helping with inner-city missions by assisting established ministries in reaching Fort Worth to the glory of God. Two such organized efforts occur monthly:

  • First Friday Evangelism - The first Friday of every month we invite oru church body to go in groups to share the Gospel at various public gathering places around the DFW metroplex.
  • Second Saturday Service - On the second Saturday morning of every month, we invite our church body to meet to spend some time in prayer and then break into teams to minister to our community through acts of service within the neighborhood immediately surrounding the Redeemer Church campus.

We firmly believe that people will perish apart from the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. That Gospel is perhaps best summarized by the Apostle Paul's statement in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: "I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ Jesus died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures."

"I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment."
1 Corinthians 1:10
